The ceramic vessels and tea services that make up this collection are informed and inspired by tea ceremonies and rituals. In my practice I value the joy of making by hand and the sense of wellbeing this brings. The tea services merge organic, sculptural form with function. The thrown forms sit together in family groups, stack, balance, and rest. Some of the thrown forms nestle, cwtch and find protection on hand built forms. These objects invite you to hold them, to take a moment, to contemplate, pause and engage in the ritual of tea drinking and taking time.
