Grappling with the Unknown
This installation is inspired by themes of cave and folk art, which recorded humankind’s everyday life and early knowledge of the Cosmos. It is updated to include some icons of space exploration and exploitation, indicating our increased knowledge of it at the present time. It begins in the cave where hand stencils are depicted and ends in a small white cube gallery space representing how art is often shown in the modern era. In this way it is meant to work as an historical narrative.
