The Senses Photo Essay

Digital photographs slideshow. 2020

My practice brings together ideas and approaches from psychogeography, phenomenology and environmental philosophy. Through mindfulness, drawing and photography I explore how the relationship between mind and place; how our relationships with our surroundings under various conditions, can help us arrive at understanding. I am interested in the ongoing development of our human relationship with the natural world; attempting to visualise interactions at the interface between natural processes and rational technologies, and exploring the political potential of the persistence of enchantment at the heart of human progress.
