The Textile Farm: A Boundaried Ecology
The Textile Farm and a path situated within it, proffers materials and resources which are harvested as part of custodial management of the land. A dialogue takes place between the environment and the maker, providing a narrative which creatively maps the essence of place at a given time. A reference and resource library of natural pigments, dyes and fibres called the Travelling Creative Apothecary supports a nomadic practice and celebrates the sensory, materially engaged simplicity of the handmade.
Passionate about the environment, and about creating a sustainable practice that is self-sufficient, this research documents the boundaries of a specific piece of land.
