The Other Side Series
Digital Photographs, Acrylic, Aluminium, Paper, Plastic, Wood. Dimensions variable. 2020
Throughout the Fine Art MA I have specialised in photography, producing a series entitled ‘The Other Side’, representing loss and depression. I convey these themes through images of thresholds and barriers. I notice what is frequently unnoticed, reclaim the abandoned and value the unvalued in my work. Within the realms of Psychogeography I have explored local towns in order to photograph the overlooked, neglected and random. I am interested in the hidden and revealed, textures, layers and entropy, to the random in everyday life. I am drawn to the damaged and to the strength of ‘still standing’ against the odds.
