Lost Futures
My work explores unrealised utopias and the evolution of language. This manifests itself through abstract sculpture and painting. I use abstract geometric shapes and lines as an artistic tool to make sense of fluctuating linguistic landscapes. Language is intrinsically linked to its speakers, and just like us it can die. Over time, it’s building blocks decay until all that remains are fleeting half-understood meanings drowning in a sea of disconnected symbols. Language becomes a ruin.
