Ferel Smith is a craftsman specialising in boat building and wood work. Drawing on his material knowledge and skill as a carpenter, Ferel crafts beautiful and practical objects. Using the traditional method of planking cedar strips onto one another, giving it the term, ‘cedar strip canoe’, this 17ft Nomad embodies the ideas of traditional craft in a contemporary setting.
