Song Story: making, connecting, healing
This work is an exploration of falling notes, words, and feelings that became the song ‘Open Book’. This song is core to these works. It is a metaphor for grief; the half-finished book is open, pages ahead lay blank.
These works are the indexical outcomes of the processes representing my creative practice journey through song craft, stitch, and ceramics. The Open Book narrative is woven into audio/visual song story with moving drawn images, book sculpture, mixed media panels and ceramic sculpture, all tracing my healing path through making and connecting as the world becomes shrink wrapped to one defining incalculable moment of unexpected loss.
