Problem solving is at the forefront of my thinking. The planet as we know it is changing, predominantly as a consequence of human actions. We are heading towards a dystopian future where the earth is inhospitable for human life. WE MUST ACT NOW. Through innovation and collaboration, it is evident that we can start to discover potential solutions that address aspects of the ‘climate emergency’.
As a committed multi-disciplinary designer, I am determined to create work that addresses environmental degradation. I am fascinated by the properties of raw materials and hybridising science with creative intervention, to discover new outcomes that can work in harmony with the changing planet, and not add to the ever-amounting pollution engulfing us. I wish to discover ‘new materials’ not currently intrinsically fluid in modern day life; natural materials with the potential to contribute to a circular economy.
