During this project I stepped quite far out of my comfort zone, I’m so used to and always took for granted being behind the camera that I almost felt naked in front of it. From behind, you can carefully construct the photograph however you want to see it, the control and power of the environment, subject are completely in your hands. In this shoot inspired by Cindy Sherman, film noir and common tropes of women in film, I explore the Male Gaze by conforming to it and constructing it myself.
