Recent explorations into various materials have resulted in a combination of abstraction and figurative representations. Threads of meaning are evoked by the matter, the process and the aesthetic outcome which for me create rich layers of meaning and invite aesthetic contemplation.
My aim is to work more sustainably, using natural, repurposed, or waste materials where possible, and I am currently inspired by various forms of materialism and the value of the physical properties of the materials used.
My methodology is to work instinctively by responding to the media/materials used and the thoughts and feelings that influence me during the creative process, leaving physical impressions, imprints, and gestures within the work.
I am delighted to present my artwork, which has been curated within an Immersive Installation space at the HCA BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree Show, 2024.
