This body of work titled “dress” is a personal project looking at the way girls are brought up and challenging the gender norms of society. The focus is on the dress, a pretty dress, one that my daughter loves and wants to wear even when trapesing through mud and doing everything that children do, whether male or female. I love exploring how independent children can be and how, when left to their own devices, they will learn the things that interest them most and documenting those experiences is really special to me.
