My photographic practice explores the concept of sense of place in both built and natural landscapes.
I am driven through my work to communicate and share this perception with others; to evoke within them what these environments are like at a deeper level of engagement – not simply their visual appearance, but how it can feel to be there.
These images form part of an installation artwork and photobooks which portray Caer Caradoc, a mountain next to my town. I explore how very differently its presence may be perceived from different locations such as the town, the neighbouring countryside, and the summit.
