From my research I became intrigued by the Suffragette Movement, and how the negative things they experienced, such as starvation and jail, were all for a positive cause and that was equality. I decided that I wanted to make pieces based around positivity, really bright, impactful and fun to instantly lift your mood. Using nature as my colour, I hammered flowers on to fabric to represent the natural beauty of women, and developed this by also using watercolours for a soft effect.
