This body of work explores how nature reclaims everything in its presence and where we, as humans, weave into that. This is also a visual representation of emotional decay during depression. To be paralysed with your thoughts as time continues to pass around you. Plants grow into abandoned structures and gradually encase the whole area, just like how thoughts and pressures from society can build up for us. My project invites viewers to pause and focus on the details of the body; bringing attention to how delicate we are as individuals.

This body of work explores how nature reclaims everything in its presence and where we, as humans, weave into that. Abandoned buildings fall and decay. What once had a busy flow of energy, now stands still and forgotten. This is also a visual representation of emotional decay during depression. To be paralysed with your thoughts as time continues to pass around you. Plants grow into abandoned structures and gradually encase the whole area, just like how thoughts and pressures from society can build up for us. The exposed skin shows the vulnerability of being in that position. My project invites viewers to pause and focus on the details of the body; bringing attention to how delicate we are as individuals.
