As a multi-disciplinary artist, I explore new and novel approaches to create narrative-led work.
Collaborating directly or indirectly with people, their shared experiences and stories compel my practice.
Recent works were inspired by a re-examination of family history unearthing a long-buried secret, leading to a reassessment of childhood memories through more informed adult eyes.
These images were shot using original slide photography from my own and my Father’s childhood, projected onto the wall of my Grand-mothers home where she lived between 1939-1993.
By projecting these images of the past onto buildings in the present, I examine photography’s role in the creation of shared family history’s as well as blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior, but more importantly, private and public space.
